Danny Brandon

Co-owner

Danny is a co-owner of Regional Insurance Brokers has more than 30 years industry experience. He specialises in insurance programs for medium to large enterprises and complex risks and is an active member of the insurance community.

Danny has an extensive career in senior management roles within the corporate insurance sector and joined the Regional team in 2007 as general manager. He formerly held senior management roles with Zurich at both national and state levels...

He brings to the business a strong background in people management, leadership & customer advocacy. Danny has more than 30 years insurance experience to draw from and is committed to fostering current relationships, developing new opportunities and improving the service and culture of Regional Insurance Brokers..

The most satisfying part of the insurance business for Danny is the relationships he builds with clients and the varied understanding he gets from looking after many industry occupations.

Danny is known for his honesty and straight forward approach in making insurance cover as simple as possible for clients.

A family man and keen sports follower especially for the football codes. Danny also enjoys spending quality time with his family, wife Melanie and son Harry.

Darren Green

Director

Darren commenced with Regional Insurance Brokers in 1996 in Rockhampton after working in Central Queensland for National and Multinational insurance companies for 12 years prior.

He became a shareholder/director in 1998 and has played a major hand in shaping the Regional Group to what it is today.

He has clients that have been with him from the start and he has developed their insurance programs to suit their business needs over time. Whilst maintaining a broad and diversified client base, he has a considerable amount of clients in construction, transport and earthmoving industries.

With his vast insurance knowledge and experience to put together insurance programs for national clients, he provides our staff with valued assistance as the most experienced insurance broker in the group.

Darren has been involved in assisting a number of our long term staff in developing their knowledge and client relationships. His forward thinking approach and willingness to provide clients with the highest level of service is reflected in the long term client relationships and friendships he has forged..

A family man and rugby league follower dabbling in thoroughbred ownership as a mild pastime, Darren also enjoys spending quality time with his family, wife Andrea and their four children.

Tim Mathieson

Managing Director

Tim is the Managing Director of RIB Group Holdings, one of the largest broking houses in Australia.

He is responsible for strategic planning and leadership across our general insurance and financial planning companies - ensuring a strong future and ongoing success as we continue to support and invest in Regional communities across Queensland.

Originally a country boy, Tim has more than 20 years industry experience - starting as a graduate with QBE Insurance in 1998 and eventually joining the executive team of an ASX200 company in Sydney. Throughout his career, Tim has enjoyed working with hundreds of broking businesses, so understands what it takes to improve business performance, employee engagement and customer satisfaction.

Tim was formerly Head of Broker Network at Steadfast Group, the largest general insurance broker network in Australasia. He previously worked with insurers and underwriting agencies across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. He holds an MBA, Master of Risk Management, Bachelor of Commerce and is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

Aside of work, Tim enjoys travelling with his wife Christie along with boating, fishing and playing sport with his three sons Jack, Angus and Eddie.
